RootNBerg measures credible engagement, filters automated traffic, and detects abusive requests using its own systems. It does not send this behavioral data to a third-party analytics platform.
What is measured
Anonymous interaction and security signals.
Anonymous identifiers
A session identifier is kept in session storage. A returning-visitor identifier and device identifier are kept in local storage. They do not contain your name, email, or form contents.
Traffic integrity
Server-observed IP and user-agent signals help distinguish credible people from bots, email scanners, link previews, headless browsers, and exploit probes. Analytics records contain a keyed IP hash, not the raw address.
Security records
Raw IP addresses may appear in restricted, rotating security logs when a request targets sensitive paths or triggers an abuse control. Those logs support temporary network bans and incident review.
What is not collected
RootNBerg does not record passwords, arbitrary keystrokes, typed form contents, full session replay, microphone, camera, or precise geolocation through this analytics system.
Your choices
Clearing or blocking browser storage limits returning-visitor recognition; blocking JavaScript prevents browser-side behavioral measurement. Normal server security logs still apply. Questions can be sent directly to izzy@rootnberg.com.
